About This Site

CORPUS is a new licensing system for music – where artists lead, and AI follows. The project is created by Sofilab and co-financed by Creative Europe. It is made in Germany, based on European values, build for global needs.
Our CORPUS Journal explores the evolving relationship between music, AI, and cultural systems. We cover the rise of generative music, legal and ethical frameworks, and the political economy of training data.
We also delve into artistic processes—how music is made, what shapes creative decisions, and which tools enable new forms of expression.
Alongside essays, interviews, and analysis, we share regular updates from the CORPUS project: building ethical infrastructure for AI and sound.
Published by the team behind CORPUS, this journal is a space for reflection, critique, and experimentation.
